Fly Away with LGBTQIA+ artist MAD WXRLD

Melodic rapper MAD WXRLD has just dropped a banger in the form of ‘Fly Away’, an intimate and vulnerable insight into her struggles with mental health.

Local rapper and singer MAD WXRLD has been making moves over the last couple of years, with a bunch of sold out shows under her belt, podcast appearances, opening slots for artists Shely210 and Kid Ink, and two finalist nods and a performance at the 2022 Gold Coast Music Awards.

In between she’s had time to write and record, the result of which is her latest track ‘Fly Away’.

It’s a song for all the people struggling with their inner demons. Inspired by true events, it encapsulates that relatable feeling of loneliness that can sometimes take over, no matter how many people are actually around.

In ‘Fly Away’, MAD WXRLD tells her own story about struggling with anxiety and depression, and pushing love away in the process.

“My music it one of the only things that helps me be fully vulnerable and express myself,” says MAD.

“It feels good to be able to get those feelings out so I can express them to the world; as well as show people it is okay to feel this way.”

As for what’s next?

“Next for me is creating more content and trying to touch as many lives as possible. I want the world to hear my music and safely feel their emotions through my music as well. I have more music I am waiting to release and I cannot for you all to hear it!”

The single features Gold Coast Artist Dream Aladdin and an accompanying vid by NICKMADEIT.
