A Magazine for good
We talk a lot about the women and stories featured within the pages of Nevertheless. But let us tell you a story about the conscious decisions we make when designing the mag – from the paper we print on and the ink we use, to the materials we’ve chosen for our Nevertheless accessories – right down to our choice of postie!
Good printing
The same way you wouldn’t buy a cheapy gossip mag from the store, we wouldn’t use cheapy products to print our journals.
It’s important to us that we work with businesses who give a *sheet* about the planet like we do.
Enter: Fast Proof Press, a family-owned progressive printing business on the Gold Coast who care about our planet’s (and our children’s) future.
Fast Proof Press are all about reduced energy consumption: recycling paper waste and inks, and reducing waste. They’ve made a conscious decision to use Océ ProStream; the most environmentally friendly printing press ever built with a lower carbon footprint than a Xerox. Talk about leaders in sustainable printing, right?
Nevertheless Journals are printed on FSC certified paper (aka sourced from an FSC Certified Forest and passed down the FSC supply chain) and use Fast Proof Press’ plant-based inks.
Their waterless, chemical free digital production system uses food-safe ink and toner, making de-inking paper for recycling a seamless process.
Good materials
We also make sure to package up your goodies in sustainable packaging. Gift boxes, mailers, packing tape, stickers, all the knick knacks in your delivery – all made from either compostable, recyclable and/or plant-based packaging from the eco-conscious folks at Heaps Good Packaging and noissue.
And even our Nevertheless accessories are no exception! Our 100% linen tea towels are made for using time-and-time again and even get better after every wash, and our tote bags are made from a durable cotton canvas from AS Colour who are driven by their commitment to social responsibility and taking care of people and the planet.
We work with the hubby-wife owned PSI Screen Printing right here on the Gold Coast, who were the first Australian screen printing company to go chemical free, implementing soy and citrus ink and screen cleaning products. Go team!

That’s why, for every copy of Journal Three sold, we’ll donate $1 to the Breast Cancer Network Australia, who work tirelessly to ensure that all Australians who are affected by breast cancer receive the very best care, treatment and support.
Breast Cancer is an issue close to our hearts, that has affected our mothers, our sisters, our friends, and friends of friends. Journal Three will focus on some of the kick-ass women we know who have battled the Big C, or been affected by a loved one who’s suffered from Breast Cancer.
So it’s only right that we donate some of our Nevertheless sales to help fight it!
Good to our mother earth
Because we’re also a bunch of greenies at heart, we also make regular contributions to Rainforest 4 as part of their monthly donor program.
Rainforest 4 protect and restore our vital Rainforest habitat. In Australia, only 33% of the Daintree Rainforest is protected, one of the oldest rainforests on earth. For every $5 we donate 2sq meters of the Daintree is protected, helping to preserve this pristine and ancient habitat.
